Rechargeable batteries ( secondary )  NiMH, NiCd, Li-Ion, Li-Po and primary Lithium are used in a wide variety of devices. 
They can be used separately, such as for example the use of Li-Ion batteries for electronic cigarettes, or Li-Po as a power source for the tablet.
But combining more batteries, in so-called battery packs, their use is spreading to a large number of different devices that are used in medicine and industry.
